Will a budding wedding planner and her bad boy neighbor stop banging heads and start hearing wedding bells in the sexy second novel in USA TODAY bestselling author Lauren Layne’s irresistible new series that marries Sex and the City with The Wedding Planner?

When small-town girl Heather Fowler finally gets promoted from assistant to actual wedding planner, she’s determined to make it as one of Manhattan’s elite Wedding Belles. Unfortunately, her first client demands an opulent black-tie affair at the Plaza…in five months’ time. Heather’s days quickly become a flurry of cake tastings, dress-fittings, RSVP cards, and bridal tantrums. But what she’s really losing sleep over is the live music blaring from her playboy neighbor’s apartment all night.

Five years ago, Josh Tanner was an up-and-comer on Wall Street, complete with the penthouse and the migraines. But a grim cancer diagnosis made him realize there is more to life than the corner office. If only he could convince his pretty, workaholic neighbor to let loose, too. As Heather lets down her guard, Josh is surprised when he starts falling for the sweet, vulnerable woman hiding beneath those power suits. Soon, it’s Heather’s turn to convince Josh to take the biggest risk of all: love.
Can Lauren Layne just write books forever and ever? I'm so madly in love with her books. I love that I can always rely on her books to leave me with all the warm and swoony feelings and a gigantic grin plastered on my face. I was keen to get to For Better or Worse after adoring To Have and To Hold. I didn't think it would be possible to love this one more than I did the first book, but this book made me so gaga.

We met Heather in the first book as one of the assistant wedding planners at The Wedding Belles. She aspires to become drop that assistant from her title with a promotion. I loved Heather so much. Passionate, devoted and hardworking, she's the kind of girl who pushes herself to the limits in order to achieve her dreams. Her story of how she worked her butt off to move to NYC to become a wedding planner was so inspiring and made me admire her a lot. She's a workaholic though and hasn't really had the chance to focus on her personal life too much. Enter Josh. Gahhh! I love love love Josh. This man just melted me and charmed the heck out of me with his flirty and playful attitude. He's Heather's neighbor with a particular fondness for playing music at ungodly hours. He used to work on Wall Street and was forced to quit as a result of an illness that nearly tore his family apart. Usually, I'm not for male love interests that go through women like I go through underwear, but Josh was always upfront about what his female companions were getting into. Josh's bond with his sister was especially one of my favorite parts of this series. His illness had caused them to drift apart, but in For Better or Worse they were trying to make amends to their relationship. His scenes with her were so heartwarming.

As individuals, these two were terrific, but as a couple? SO MUCH FUN. My words doesn't do justice to the delight I got out of watching these two interact and exchange quips. From the very beginning, it was non-stop banter between these two and I loved it! Together, they are funny, adorable and sexy, a combo that makes them very ship-worthy! The chemistry was hot and tangible and every make-out scene was so swoony! I love how they made fun of each other, but they were also always there for each other. There's one scene in particular when Josh comes to Heather's rescue when she has to host brunch for her friends that I adore so much. I highlighted the heck out of some of their scenes together and I know this is one book I'll be re-reading the romance passages over and over again. I was worried about how Heather would take it when she realizes what Josh's big secret is (his illness), but she takes it like a champ. Like most romance novels, this one had that mini-separation towards the end of the novel, but here, I actually loved it because of the subsequent groveling scenes from Josh. It was romantic, and made my heart flutter in joy! No doubt these two are my favorite Lauren Layne couple. It was fun to see the other Wedding Belle girls too and I'm so excited to get my hands on Alexis' story. If it's anything as the rest of the books in this series, I'm in for a treat.

Do you love romantic comedies? Do you love smart and headstrong heroines? Do you love charming heroes who will woo you from start to finish? Do you love to be hit by all kinds of romantic feels? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you need to get to For Better or Worse ASAP. Trust me, this is the kind of book that will make your day so much better.
