I have an author interview with authors Tara Wyatt and CiCi Coughlin from the anthology above. I hope you enjoy!
1) Describe your story in one sentence
Tara Wyatt: An ex husband and wife--both spies--are forced to work together on a mission to recover a stolen biological weapon.
CiCi Coughlin: Two thirty-something cancer survivors meet at the organic market and take flirting for a spin.
2) What are three essential items you must have when you write?
TW: A beverage of some kind (coffee, tea, or wine), my computer, and my music (with my noise cancelling headphones and I'm a cheater because that's four).
CC: A hot beverage, relative quiet, and the darkest fair trade chocolate I can find.
3) What's one book that you are reading and loving right now?
TW: I just finished Dating You Hating You by Christina Lauren, and it was FAB. U. LOUS.
CC: Constant Craving by Tamara Lush. It's exclusively on the Radish Fiction app right now and it's lovely, mostly free -- and hot.
4) What makes your characters perfect for each other?
TW: Natasha and Brandon, both spies (and ex-husband and wife) understand the risks that come with doing such a dangerous job--and both love the thrill of it. They're both smart, driven, and aren't afraid of putting their lives on the line in the name of keeping innocent people safe. Although they drive each other crazy, they also bring out the best in each other (even if they're too stubborn to realize it).
CC: They're both 30-something cancer survivors and they have a grasp of what's important and what just isn't. They're past the game-playing and the BS -- though not at all immune to the joys of flirting. Living means something different to them and their common experience gives them an automatic bond. They get each other in ways that most other people can never quite understand.
5) What's up next for you?
TW: I have two new series coming up! The Blood and Glory series is contemporary romance featuring MMA fighter heroes, and it's co-written with Harper St. George. The first book, Dirty Boxing, releases on September 18. The Blue Heat series is romantic suspense, and is about a team of elite detectives who have to go undercover in somewhat unconventional locations in order to avenge the death of their fallen colleague. The first book in that series is slated for April 2018.
CC: I have a whole host of new projects launching this fall and in 2018, both as CiCi Coughlin and as Maggie Marsh. The sixth book in my high-heat Boudoir de Deux series, Touch of Kink, will be out in August. Book seven, Real, drops in December, and features a heroine who's neuroatypical like me. I'm also working on a quirky slow simmer story about fair trade chocolate, an uber-creepy five-book romantic thriller series, a collection of paranormalish sexy shorts, and several other bits and bobs.
