He’s been a bad, bad rake — and it takes a governess to teach him a lesson
The accidental governess.
After her livelihood slips through her fingers, Alexandra Mountbatten takes on an impossible post: transforming a pair of wild orphans into proper young ladies. However, the girls don’t need discipline. They need a loving home. Try telling that to their guardian, Chase Reynaud: duke’s heir in the streets and devil in the sheets. The ladies of London have tried — and failed — to make him settle down. Somehow, Alexandra must reach his heart... without risking her own.
The infamous rake.
Like any self-respecting libertine, Chase lives by one rule: no attachments. When a stubborn little governess tries to reform him, he decides to give her an education — in pleasure. That should prove he can’t be tamed. But Alexandra is more than he bargained for: clever, perceptive, passionate. She refuses to see him as a lost cause. Soon the walls around Chase’s heart are crumbling... and he’s in danger of falling, hard.

Hey guys. I know I've been kind of missing from here, and I'm so so sorry about that. The last month has been crazy. I've changed positions and project at work, and I'm currently entering week 3 of a 7 week long training, and it's exhausting. Furthermore, I had to present a report for my PhD, which meant that I had even less time. SORRY!

Moving on... I was fully convinced that I wouldn't get this ARC, but a week or so before the release date, I received the email and the book on my Kindle, and I was so ecstatic :D . I absolutely loved the first book of Girl Meets Duke, so I had high hopes for this one, and I'm so glad that Tessa Dare delivered.

I think Ash and Emma will always be my favorites, but Chase and Alexandra come in a close second. I loved Alex, she has such an amazing personality, and she doesn't take sh*t from anyone, and I love her for it. I wished she would stick out for herself more in some situations, but I really loved her dynamic with Chase and the children. I just wanted to hug Chase, and for all his talk of being a rake, he was such a lovely and scared and gentle man.

I loved the romance too, Chase and Alex were a perfect match! But more than anything, I loved the sense of family I got while reading this book, and all the talk of piracy and astronomy.

I really enjoyed this new book in this series and I can't recommend it enough, and I can't wait to see what book 3 will bring us. In the meantime, I started listening to another series by Tessa Dare, and I'm thoroughly enjoying that too :) .
Have you guys read this book?
